Description of Program:

Circle of Friends is a loving family environment in which your child can feel loved, make new friends, enrich their lives through early education academic skills, as well as social and emotional skills. I have the BEST kids in my care, and I offer your child a safe place to grow as part of our extended family. I treat the children as if they were my own!

Qualifications

Over 30 years of experience in caring for children!

7 years as a Licensed Child Care Provider

Certified in CPR + First Aid

Certified Child Care Health/Safety, and Prevention of Infectious Disease

Department of Justice clearance for providing Licensed Child Care,
and also cleared through Elk Grove Unified School District.

Room Mother for my son's class - grades Kindergarten through Second.

Several years of continuous education in areas such as Nutrition,
Family and Consumer Science, and Child Development.

Most important - Mother of a TERRIFIC 8 year old!

About the Provider

I started "babysitting" when I was 11. I am now a 43 year old very energetic mother of a wonderful, smart, funny 8 year old boy. When I became a mom, I became completely in love with my new role in life, and had no idea on what I was missing out on.

Sure, I had babysat ever since I was 11, but I wasn't about to make a career out of it. I worked for a Fortune 50 company in the Bay Area making excellent money, but no amount of money was worth being away from my child!

When I started looking for child care, I just wasn't comfortable with what I saw out there, so I decided to start my own daycare and provide for parents what I was so desperately searching for; a fun, loving provider, lots of room for the kids both inside and out, and a great program in which my little one could blossom in to a great little kid! I also wanted to provide a safe place for children where they wouldn't have to worry about others in daycare hurting them, or bullying them. I have a ZERO tolerance for that in my care, and luckily kids are smart and learn quickly how they are to behave with others!

I have been providing licensed child care for 7 years now, and I love what I am doing! I wouldn't trade it for anything! People are always telling me, "Oh, I wish *I* could do daycare. It is so HARD. If I had great kids like YOURS, I'd do daycare, too!" I think if you have the right attitude and get the right mix of kids, then it won't be so much "work".

I REALLY enjoy my kids. They keep me young, happy, and they make me laugh! If I wasn't enjoying caring for your children while you work outside the home, I sure wouldn't be doing this!

Curriculum Information

We use the wonderful AWARD WINNING Early Learning Curriculum provided by Funshine Express.("www.funshineexpress.com")

We also use various other means of educating the children. My children LOVE to LEARN!
